I just remembered, I won't be weighing in this coming Monday coz it's the Queens birthday holiday [Happy Birthday Lizzy!]I was really good last week [What would have been this coming Mondays result] But this week i haven't been too good. Ive eaten McDonalds...TWICE. Two days in a row i had a large Quarter pounder value meal [Small in America lol] with a chocolate shake instead of a coke. I know, I knooooowww. What was i thinking?!? But the dumb thing is, Even though i'm kicking myself for eating it, i want more! What is it about crap food that lures us back immediatly? It wasn't even that nice dam it!
Glenda and I didn't walk this morning. There was practicaly a blizzard outside, and i wasn't going out there for anyone!! lol
A new tag, Oh Yay! What are your favourite TV [series] programs And why? They say you can tell a bit about a person by what they watch on the box. And we wouldn't read each others blogs if we didn't want to know about each other, So do tell.......
I'm tagging Belleb, White Rose Boy, Celtic Girl, Spider63, Half Man, and Fat Lazy Guy :o)
The Simpsons - [Duh!] As a family, we are absolute Simpsons junkies!! We relate to it/the characters as a family very well. John says i'm "Such a Homer" [That's funny, i thought HE was! lol]. I don't let the kids watch Itchy & Scratchy, so as soon as it starts, the kids automaticly turn to face the wall behind them. It looks kinda funny lol [I should video it shouldn't i?] They aren't allowed to watch some of the halloween specials either. We know what episode it is as soon as the Simpsons hit the couch in the opening sequence. I've never taken a Simpsons trivia quiz and got stuff wrong! I miss having Auster [Cable TV] coz every so often they have Simpsons marathons [We don't have Austar anymore coz it turns us into even bigger lounge lizards]
C.S.I - But only the original one. There is NO substitute for Grissom! But we don't eat while watching it Eeewwww :o/
Australia's Funniest Home Video Show - What's more funny than watching other people hurt themselves? Or animals doing funny things? Allthough, you can only watch so many people fall of a trampoline! lol The Australian show is soooo much more funnier than the American version!
Heroes - I'm really enjoying getting into the guts of this show. [We are only into season 2 in Australia] Such a vast variety in characters and yet they all work together so well! And besides, the cop/Bennett guy is super cute! :oP
Carnivale - This show isn't on anymore, but people are really pushing for HBO to start on the third series, as there were 4 series written. I liked the whole old time spookiness to it, and i really want to see how it ends!
Oz - A very raw, realistic show about life in a maximum security mens prison. This isn't on anymore either, but it had quite a few seasons. I still can't buy the box sets because they are too expensive. John bought me the first season on eBay, but it's a nasty Asian rip off. So i can't really watch it :o( I can wait......
Dr Phil - I love his realistic approach to life, and i've taken on board quite a lot of his ideals. I don't answer the phone between 12-1pm when he's on.
Rove Live - He's just really funny & naturaly silly. He has great guests, And he seems to be able to bring out the silliness in anyone! He also has a great regular cast. Check him out HERE if you've never heard of him!
The Biggest Loser - Both the American and the Australian versions, But i like the Australian one better. The Australian one is on every night, and it's a constant reminder for me to do better.
An honourable mention goes to Neighbours. It's on after The Simpsons each weeknight. We watch it, but you can miss an episode and sorta catch up. Glenda knows Ned from the show. Her husband and Ned used to sing together last year :o)

Don't feel bad - I haven't had a great week either. McDonalds was your downfall and BBQ season was mine. Sending good thoughts your way.
CSI - My favorite show of all time! And you are so right, the Miami and NY versions are such a rip off.
Heroes - We just finished the second season. Keep with it, it was just amazing to watch. I love Hiro!
Biggest Loser - I long for this show. It's not on right now in Canada. I find that my awareness about my diet is better when this show is on. I can't wait for the new season to start.
Take care.
Thanks for tagging me...I think! It will probably be next week before I have the time to post it. BTW, I love Heroes too. But, we just finished the 1st season here. I didn't know some places where already watching the second season.
You have some interesting picks! You also have HBO, which gives you another world of TV shows. The only one I would really agree on is Funniest Home Videos. I think they are usually the same except for the hosts. I know that in the USA they often play videos from all over the world.
I don't dislike The Simpsons except that I would like to see cartoon version of The Terminator or Rambo visit the town and kill all the characters except for Krusty the Klown. Or have the South Park kids invade Springville (?). That would be fun.
I'm one of them lucky people I actually don't like MacDonalds.
I'll have a bash at the TV shows.
I love Dr. Phil too! Do you know the associate producer of Dr. Phil called me 2 years ago and asked if our family would be willing to be on the show as the "Family In Crisis" that they would follow for a year? Long, long story...it was because of a letter I'd written on the website asking advice about my daughter. We talked regularly on the phone & shared e-mails. Anyway...the day before the camera crew was slated to arrive and film us on our home turf (before they flew us all out to California for the actual show) they cancelled. Another long story. But damn if my house wasn't cleaner than it'd ever been! (And all I could think about was how fat I'd look on TV!)But in the end I'm glad because I'd really prayed about it and asked the Lord to close any doors if this wasn't right. I'd wrestled with it for so long. Anyhoo....just thought I'd share that!
I know what you mean by eating Mcd's and wanting more. Lately, I haven't been eating the fat food so I don't feel the pull. We'll see how long it lasts. I think it's what they put in their food, the additives make you want more, more, more!
I liked Heros the one time I saw it and my hubby loves the funniest home videos. I didn't watch the biggest loser much. I don't like how some of the women said they worked them so hard on the show that when they got home they had stress fractures in their foot to deal with. Didn't like the way they do that on the show. But it's always cool to get to see before and afters. I saw the season 2 finalist, suzy, talk at a local seminar so that was interesting but she didn't really share much of what she went through. bummer.
I'd like to see Carnivale, it's sounds something I'd like.
My picks are up on my blog:0)
THE SIMPSONS! I thought you were a bit of a Simpsons addict, what with all these Simpsons pics :) I was going to ask about them before I found out about the funeral and everything.
Oh, and Rove! We get Rove here too. I thought his return kind of started out slow, but he seems to be getting back into it. I miss his old set, though, and the guest bands, and some of the old bits he used to do. Oh, and I'm not really a fan of how he brings out his guests (with the prerecorded intros). But other than that, he's great :D
Thanks for tagging me. I'll probably do that tomorrow.
Thanks again for the comments while I was away.
Thanks guys :o)
That's awesome Lora! Imagine how much your life would have changed forever if that had of happened?
So it's probably for the best :o)
