New year, new me. I know, i know, What makes this different to all the other years? Ultimate accountability!I have looked for ongoing motivation, support and fellowship in the diet community without spending money on programs or special foods.
I fail over and over again because i even though i know what i should do, my lifestyle, peers and family living make it all too inconvenient and i just don't know how to fight against that.
In the last weeks of 2011, i came up with the idea of forming a weight loss support group to learn how to tackle those problems and more. Here is the poster i made up for it...
I will be the head of this group and it will be at my house. I work well when people rely on me as i want to please them. I will/do want to be the example. I can't get any more accountable that this! Even though i'm doing this primarily for selfish reasons, i know there are people out there looking for the same things. The first meeting will be this coming Saturday Jan the 7th and so far there will be 5+ people coming. I'm so excited about it!
I made a FaceBook poll to help decide the group name so i can make up proper posters to leave around....
I personally like Wii Fat, but i can see why that wouldn't work for a few reasons lol [If you'd like to vote as well, just add me on FB :o) ]
On another note, i have started doing Dr Phills Ultimate Weight Loss Solution over the last week. I've had it on CD but don't have a CD player in the bedroom where i can listen to it in peace. Only this week i worked out how to put it on my iPhone!
I tried to weigh myself for the new year but my scales won't weight me. Either i'm over 182kilos [approx 400lbs] or the scales have been effected by John leaving them in his stinking hot shed for 6 months. I really hope its the later! I don't feel that fat :o/ The Christmas season was a bit of a piggy one [but could have been so much worse]. Lots of socialising and convenience foods. This year, i'm going to make up an event calender so i can decide well in advance that i'm going to behave, and how i'm going to do that without feeling like i'm missing out.
I'm not going to do my food diary here, as i find that doing that just encourages me to sit at the computer more. [it's taken me an hour to do this post already, coz i fart around doing other stuff too] so i'm going to add my calories/exercise/water total at the end of each week.
So that's it for now :o)

I like the idea of shared healthy dinners. My family won't even share my dinner with me!

Well, havent your kids been relying on you this whole time to be the best Mum you can be?
You can do this, stop talking about it, no gimmicks, just get off your butt and do it!
